NUTRAMIGEN
In October of 2022 I had my son. I did the whole attempt at breast feeding he did not want to latch which was fine I pumped and bottle fed and then went straight to bottle feeding with formula because I was just not producing enough for the amount of feedings he wanted. And this is when my life would forever change as well as my newborn sons life as well. He had to go back to doctors due to not gaining enough weight, I explained the the formula we cause GERD (a form of acid reflux in babies) I was told to elevate him while sleeping to see if it would help. We tried even went to switching to Gentlease formula then when Formula was hard to get and WIC allowed us to switch between brands I tried the Similac Total Comfort and just by the grace of god was at my son's follow-up appointment when his doctor his primary did not lie the amount he threw up after drinking such a small amount and agreed that he should be on the more expensive formula Nutramigen which is anywhere from $35 to $40 per 12oz can or $60 for a box of two refill bags but those are hard to come by so it's the formula bought at Walmart for WIC which I get 11 cans, 2 liquid cans from our state insurance and then the next 5-7 cans we buy ourselves. So now we find ourselves battling to find expensive formula to help my son thrive, we may have to drive 30-40 minutes away but it could be a whole hell of a lot worse.
